    Daniele Battaglioli was born in Parma (Italy), on August 2001.

    He obtained his Bechelor’s Degree in Information Systems Engineering from the University of Parma in October 2023, with a thesis titled “Development of a Secure Mobile Application for Event Management Using a Container-Based Architecture.”

    In October 2025, he earned his Master Degree in Computer Engineering (curriculum: Artificial Intelligence) from the University of Parma, with a thesis titled “Semantic Segmentation of RGB-D Cardiac Images Using Classical Computer Vision and Deep Learning Techniques.”

    Since November 2025, he has been pursuing a Ph. D. within the Internet of Things (IoT) Lab group at the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Parma.


  • Daniele Battaglioli’s research focuses on the integration and analysis of remote sensing imagery and ground-based data for distributed environmental monitoring. His main areas of interest include:

    • DL architectures for semantic segmentation (e.g., CNNs, Vision Transformers)
    • multimodal neural networks
    • multi-source data acquisition and integration
