Prof. Ferrari, as a member of the Scientific Council of the ARTEMIS Industry Association together with the Scientific Council Chairman Prof. Dimitrios Serpanos (University of Patras, Greece), gives the talk “Connectivity side protocols for devices” in the online Workshop “IoT and Edge Computing II: The Far Edge,” organized in the context of the Coordination and Support Action (CSA) Next Generation Internet of Things (NGIoT).

2020-06 – Virtual kick-off meeting of InSecTT

Online kick-off meeting (because of COVID-19 situation) of the European project Intelligent Secure Trustable Things (InSecTT), Call H2020-ECSEL-2019-1-IA-two-stage, project ID: 876038. The project involves 52 partners, is coordinated by Virtual Vehicle Research Gmbh (Austria), and the total project cost is over 44 M€. The University of Parma is participating as part of Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per l’Informatica (CINI).

2020-05 – Virtual kick-off meeting of NextPerception

Online kick-off meeting (because of COVID-19 situation) of the European project Next generation smart perception sensors and distributed intelligence for proactive human monitoring in health, wellbeing, and automotive systems (NextPerception), Call H2020-ECSEL-2019-2-RIA-two-stage, project ID: 876487. The project involves 43 partners, is coordinated by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd (Finland), and the total project cost is over 28 M€.

2019-10 – Prof. Ferrari visits NCTU, Taiwan

October 2019

Following October 2018’s visit, Prof. Ferrari visits again Prof. Li-Chun Wang‘s group at National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, giving a talk on “Hybrid Radio/Inertial Localization: Challenges and Perspectives”. Following this visit, a memorandum of understanding and a Student Exchange Agreement between NCTU and University of Parma were signed in 2019. Together with Li-Chun and Stefano Rini.

2019-09 – Y1 Virtual General Assembly of AFarCloud

G. Ferrari and L. Davoli participate to the General Assembly of the European project Aggregate Farming in the Cloud (AFarCloud), Call H2020-ECSEL- 2017-2-RIA-two-stage, project ID 783221. The General Assembly was held at the Kotipellon tila farm (TUWien) in Ylivieska, Finland. The project involves 60 partners, is coordinated by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), and the total project cost is over 28 M€.
