The IoT Lab participates to the Notte dei ricercatori (Researchers’ Night) of the University of Parma, on September 29th. This event, promoted by the European Union at a European level, aims at stimulating people (especially young people) to approach the academic research world. The IoT Lab will present a few of its activity. Come and visit us.

Prof. Ferrari gives the invited speech “The importance of data collection for an ad-hoc personalized analysis: the experience of the University of Parma on wearable-based monitoring of Parkinson patients” at the Life Science Data Congress 2017, Milan, Italy. In the presentation, Prof. Ferrari outlines the main results obtained by IoT Lab in collaboration with Istituto Auxologico Italiano, coordinated by Prof. Alessandro Mauro.

Mohamed Skander DAAS, PhD Candidate at the Department of Fundamental Computer Science and its Applications, University of Constantine 2 and Assistant Professor of computer science with the department of Applied Biology at the University of Mentouri – Constantine 1, visits the IoT Lab in June-July 2017. He collaborates with us on the design and implementation of artificial intelligence-inspired routing algorithms.

Supply Chain Congress 2017, Milan, Italy. In the panel, attendees discuss on the evolution of the supply chain management in the Pharmaceutical Industry through business optimization based on IoT, Robotics, and Industry 4.0.

Prof. G. Ferrari gives the invited speech “Driving risk mitigation: a technological perspective” at the 2017 meeting of the Assembly of National Sleep Societies (ANSS) of the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS), held in Reykjavik, Iceland. The meeting was coordinated by Prof. Liborio Parrino (University of Parma), Chair of the Executive Committee of ANSS. The attendees were received by the President of Iceland.
